2) Received books from Amazon.fr through FedEx, express really is express, 6 Euro more is worthy to spend (ordered on Sun night)

Afternoon:

1) Marking the inscription Messiaen used in Eclairs on these 2 bibles

3) Mongkok eating/shopping [we miss the Angus beef from the supermarket next to our home @ Buffalo]

4) 今晚比石太罵到一面屁 (because I went to see Mutter's recital rather than went to the rehearsal)

    a) Mouse is surprised why I have in touch with such people [人在江湖, 身不由己]

    b) Mr Chu: 食得鹹魚抵得渴啦 [yes, this is my fault and i should mention this when I signed the contract.  This is a really salty one]

11am HYS Waiting for copy stuff.  Really thx CWL lending me the copy of one British dissertation.  Otherwise, I have to wait HKU to process the new arrival microfilm and spend $0.8/page X almost 400 pages (~$320) for the copying fee.  Now I just need $99!  Returned the original copy to CWL ... "Hope to see you in Messiaen Conference in 2008!" ... a very supportive wish!

Knowing the true fact sometimes (or most of the time) does not make people feel pleasant.  If the guess is correct, then I really hate those people who are 好心做壞事.  In other words, as a servant, we really should have a super solid foundation and being humble, as well as lots of prayers and faith in God, before we give our hands to help.  Otherwise, that simply creates many chances for Satan.

This is a super expensive lesson that no one can afford.

The Zukerman couple with HK Sinfonietta:

A nice performance, I like the Mozart but the Brahms seems a bit difficult to hold the flow and coherence.  He has some notes and trills out of tune, where a high ranked musician should not have (because as a student, i had these many times before @____@).

The live performance of Mozart Violin Concerto No. 5 recalls my memory of F.5 @ Lam Woo playing in the inter-house music competition (3rd mvt excerpts) and the interview time @ HKU, BU and CU with Alfred playing the orchestral reduction (1st mvt exposition).

Oral Defence

1) LWC -- i really really appreciate the comments from the external examiner, who is from Department of Anthropology, which LWC missed in her thesis.  As Prof. Yu said, this may be the first thesis investigating the "true" Hong Kong music/genre.  In my opinion, LWC caught the deer but didn't know how to take off its horns.  However, I am so disappointed by someone's comments that the external examiner is a kind of  outsider and she doesn't know us (musical part) much!  Why many of you would like to lock yourself into the tiny-ivory-tower?  External's comments and questions are very positive, suggestive and helpful,  I can't see any impolite or offensive attack @___@

2) Betty -- seems lost her way and stance (this is the common mistake when one is staying too long but need to finish asap @__@), even can't answer CWL's simple but important questions.  I am also disappointed not because of her weak arguments, but I wonder why MM simply let her go during the proof-reading process.....

......hehe.....anyway, I found my spoken voice and English speaking ability are not bad ^___^.....hoho.....

森美 (小儀) . . . 終於有今日

Although they accompanied me since AL, CU Music study, as well as during my comp exam study, I still can't agree with their ideas.  They should be more careful in making the program, especially this is a very influential and a super popular one.  It is a shame that 森美 is a graduate from the School of Journalism at CUHK.  He seems forgetting what he studied before ---> the "surface" success covers his conscience.

Afternoon: Lunch with church-mates, Joyce was talking about her term paper, her mind in her study is much clearer than mine in music!

Back to home for rest and dress up.

7pm met Nana @ Mongkok, met Zoey, Wong Hiu Lam, Ah Chung and Siu Tak, then Sharon, followed by many classmates @__@ in Delifrance...

Michael and Jenny's wedding banquet, 35 or 36 tables...even many Profs too!  Really a mission impossible became possible!
