Today's Thought

1st January 2007 (End of the Year Review)

10 wishes for this coming year 2007:

1) Finish writing dissertation as soon as possible (if hv miracle, then in May; if not, at the latest Dec) [so, last battle, but things can't be finished by Dec!!!  Hope for the next semester . . . ]

2) At least one job offer (anytime; anywhere) [I guess the only job now is to finish wiritng my dissertation, also, it seems that no PhD, no job @_@ ]

3) Safe trips for wwy's auditions and followed by offerS and shipS (Jan and Feb) [YES, she is now studying at an acclaimed school: The Cleveland Institute of Music, with scholarship, double major in Harpsichord and Collaborative Piano . . . BUT . . . ]

4) wwy's Bravo Solo Recital (April) [YES, greatly done!!!]

5) Proposal accepted (dream is SMT, then UK international one, and regional) [well, as uaul, SMT is too competitive to get in, but I did present a paper at a regional one; the UK one for a poster session; an International Messiaen Conference @ Boston University in mid-October, Hawai'i finally gave me an invitation but i declinced.  UK International Messiaen Conference rejected me, the Australia Messiaen in 2008 accepted my proposal . . . thou i may not have $ to go . . . ]

6) Alternative, set up everything in HK, but then, what is the next step?? [and I chose another alternative: writing dissertation in US]

7) Stable income, i don't mind "work more earn more" if it does work! [N/A]

8) Save more $$$ [N/A]

9) More students (if work in HK as freelance) [N/A]

10) Do more research ^__^ [proportional to how much dissertation i finished]
